Romulus Inc. / IHOP

This overtime rights lawsuit is brought on behalf of salaried Assistant Managers at IHOP restaurants. According to the lawsuit, the Assistant Managers are entitled to overtime pay because, among other reasons, they spend most of their time performing the same type of non-managerial work as the restaurants' hourly employees such as, for example, running food to customer tables, expediting food orders, working in the kitchen, and cleaning. It is anticipated that the company will deny violating any laws. The Judge has not decided who will win.

This lawsuit is going forward at the United States District Court in Scranton, PA.
