This lawsuit seeks to recover unpaid wages for individuals who worked as servers at the Cafe Michelangelo restaurant located in Philadelphia, PA. The servers allege that the restaurant violated state and City wage laws by paying them a tipped minimum wage of $2.83 per hour and requiring them to tip-out certain ineligible employees of the restaurant as well as perform excessive side work. It is anticipated that the restaurant deny that it violated any laws.

SEP 6, 2019

Today we filed a class action Complaint in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas on behalf of servers at the Cafe Michelangelo restaurant located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A copy of the Complaint is below. It is anticipated that the restaurant will deny that it violated any laws.


NOV 8, 2019

Today the Court issue the scheduling order below setting forth the deadlines concerning class certification.
