In this class action lawsuit, we represent a former employee at the Manor at Susquehanna Village, a nursing home located in Millersburg, PA. The lawsuit is going forward in the United States District Court in Scranton, PA. The lawsuit alleges that, in September 2017, the nursing home improperly eliminated many hours of unused leave time accumulated by our client and other nursing home employees. In the lawsuit, Ms. Knapp claims that she and similar employees are entitled to monetary compensation for all eliminated leave hours under the following legal theories: breach of contract; Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Law (“WPCL”), 43 P.S. §§ 260.1, et seq.; promissory estoppel; and unjust enrichment.
